Kartana

Kartana is a tool to format RPG content into files for printing or publishing.

Write or copy/paste some Markdown into a directory, and make a nice PDF with one command!

Kartana is a glorified Makefile, that uses Pandoc with a set of opinionated settings, to build publishable files from a directory of plain Markdown files.

Kartana is designed to use standard tooling, allowing an author (let's be honest, the target user is me) to create simple text files for content, and turn those into PDF's that will be easy to print at home, two-to-a-sheet, to be put into a mini binder.

Kartana includes my own selected pages, selected from other CC-BY-SA sources, but can be easily downloaded or forked to create your own booklets.  It was created for the Forever Open Source Jam.

Kartana includes Github actions to publish releases to Github and itch.io automatically.
